JSIC
activities in the United States involve interpreting steel economics
and trade; promoting of beneficial relationships with steel consuming
and
other steel-related organizations; distributing publications;
news releases
and other material concerning the Japanese steel industry; sponsoring
a
speakers bureau whereby leading Japanese steel representatives
can
provide the industry’s views to U.S. audiences; and compiling
information,
statistics and other data to provide JISF members with a better
understanding of U.S. steel economic and trade developments.
Information
on the Japanese steel industry is available to the press,
academia, economists, analysts, U.S. government agencies and all
others interested in information involving the Japanese steel
industry and understanding developments involving
Japanese steel technology and trade.
